ACCOMMODATION
Attendees are kindly advised to book their accommodation early as December is a busy travel month in Tokyo. Tokyo has numerous accommodation options. Below we list some of the hotel offerings.
OUR RECOMMENDATIONS
Hotel prices vary greatly within the Tokyo area. Here are some examples. You can find the location of these hotels on the maps below.
OTHER HOTELS
We suggest you find accommodations in the Hongo, Ueno Station, or Tokyo Station areas because of their easy access to The University of Tokyo campus.
HOTELS NEAR THE UTOKYO
The following hotels are located very close to The University of Tokyo campus. Please note that there are many hills on the campus and in the surrounding areas.
HOTELS NEAR UENO STATION
Keisei Skyliner (an all-reserved train from Narita Airport) stops at Keisei Ueno Station. It is about 20-30 minute walk to The University of Tokyo. It is also easy to get to Hongo-sanchome Station, the nearest station from the campus, by the Oedo Line Subway (one station ride) from Ueno.
HOTELS NEAR TOKYO STATION
Airport shuttles from Narita and Haneda Airports stop at Tokyo Station. From there, it takes about 10 minutes to get to Hongo-sanchome Station by subway (Marunouchi line). JR Tokyo station is a departure point to many places. It is especially convenient if you are planning to use the Shinkansen (bullet train) for excursions to Nagoya, Kyoto, Hiroshima or Kyushu.
DORMITORY TYPE HOTEL
There are also dormitory type hotels in Kagurazaka and Shinjuku .
