The AASLE 2024 Conference will be hosted by Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, on December 12-14, 2024. The three-day conference includes parallel sessions, panels and talks by keynote and invited speakers:

Call for papers: 
We invite submissions on any topic related to labour and applied economics by 14 July 2024.

AASLE is an important platform for scholars in the Asia-Pacific region to research and exchange ideas. The annual AASLE conference supports and encourages discussions and exchanges on research, policies, and applications in labor economics. In 2024, the conference will be hosted by the Faculty of Economics at Chulalongkorn University.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION

Main Session

We invite submissions on any topic related to labour and applied economics. Submissions should include an abstract (up to 250 words) and a full paper. Contributors are invited to submit their papers for consideration here by 14 July 2024.

Special Conference Issue of Labour Economics

Authors of presented papers will have the opportunity to submit their paper for consideration for a special conference issue of Labour Economics. The submission deadline for the revised manuscript is 31 January 2025. We will provide more information on the review and selection process for this special issue as soon as we have more information.

Job Market Session

Job market sessions will be dedicated to young researchers during the conference. The AASLE 2024 job market will include flash talks as well as presentation sessions during the parallel sessions and will be open to recruiters.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please provide a letter of support from your supervisor. Letters of support can either be uploaded during the paper submission process or sent separately via email to conference@aasle.org. The deadline to apply is
14 July 2024. As with all other submissions, registration is required for conference attendance in case the paper is accepted.
